What does Update assets do?

Update assets checks authorized profiles, accounts, pages, delivery structure, creatives, apps, and landing pages from the ad platform. It helps decide which platform assets can be linked to a Project.

Why can assets be marked already fresh?

The system checks whether stable asset layers were confirmed recently. If there is no obvious need to update, it skips extra platform requests to reduce waiting time and API cost.

What are authorization, account, delivery, and clues?

Authorization is the connection source. Accounts include BMs, ad accounts, and Pages. Delivery includes campaigns, ad sets, and ads. Clues include creatives, apps, and landing pages that help determine Project ownership.

Why are accounts refreshed less often than delivery data?

BMs and accounts usually change slowly. Ads, creatives, apps, and landing pages can change with campaign operations, so the system prioritizes layers that are more likely to change.

Do unlinked assets sync spend and revenue?

No. Unlinked assets are used only for discovery and ownership review. Performance fact sync starts only after assets are linked to a Project.

What is a new discovery?

A new discovery is an asset that appears during the latest update, such as a new ad account, Page, campaign, creative, app, or landing page. It appears in Platform Assets before you decide whether to link it to a Project.

Data sync

Date ranges today data automatic retries and results.

What does one sync update?

The system updates connected platform data for the selected dates and assigns results to relevant Projects. Users do not need to choose APIs or internal job types.

Why can today's data change?

Ad and attribution platforms can report or backfill data later. Use today for directional monitoring and completed dates for final review.

Which failures recover automatically?

Timeouts rate limits and temporary platform errors retry automatically. Expired access missing permissions and ownership conflicts require user action.

Project ownership

How Projects business scopes and unmatched data work.

Why link assets to a Project?

Links decide which accounts apps pages and landing pages appear in Project reporting. Shared ad accounts sync once and are shown in each Project by ownership.

What happens to unmatched data?

Unmatched data remains in platform totals but is excluded from App landing-page and product-line views. Historical data can be recalculated after links or rules are added.

Authorization and Profiles

Multiple Profiles BM access and permission changes.

What is a Profile?

A Profile represents one Facebook user authorization from OAuth or a manual token. An organization can keep multiple Profiles and use one that still has access.

How is cross-BM access shown?

Assets keep both Owned by and Authorized via relationships. An asset can be linked while any organization Profile can read it.

Creative preview and library

Platform previews source files and Add to library.

Why is only a thumbnail available sometimes?

An ad platform may expose creative metadata without the underlying image or video source. The system tries available preview endpoints and shows a clear permission message when needed.

What does Add to library do?

After confirmation the system fetches the best available source calculates its fingerprint and stores it in R2. Previewing alone does not copy files or request all platform creatives.
